May updates from the studio

May is breezing by so quickly this year.  I've hardly been able to catch up with myself.

I have a few updates.    Firstly, I'll be getting a new website soon.
Sadly, I was informed that my wonderful web gal Diane lost her fight with cancer.
Too many too soon.  She was a talented caring artist as well as a great person to do
business with.  Diane's passion was Manatees.  She did a lot of conservation efforts
on their behave.  She will certainly be missed!

I don't have a date on the new website as yet.  I have met a new web person that is going
to help me set one up.  We will both have a tight schedule prior to her trip and mine
in the beginning of June.  I suspect that it will be reasonably ready to publish mid to
third week of the month.

I'm excited about a fresh new look to B. D. Johnson Art!  I'll be able to add new
paintings as they come off the easel as well myself.   So new images more often!

Second announcement; After much planning, I'll be visiting the Florida Everglades,
swimming with Dolphins, visiting a Turtle Hospital and spending several days on
a small Island (Key).  The little island is a learning center and info gathering facility.
We'll be gathering specimens each day to study.   I so enjoy kayaking!  I'm looking
forward to some adventures.  Hopefully, I'll be able to share some of these with
you.

Lastly, but not least... The above image is a new acrylic on Amperstand Board,
measuring 5" x 5".  The subject is a Mountain Chickadee local to the Southern
California Mountain range where I live.  It is perched on a branch in an Oak
Tree also local to our area.

As soon as time permits, I'll post my marine experiences on my Wilderness Blog
which you can click on to the right alone the column.

Cheers!
